«Shame» is a genre story in the vein of chamber, claustrophobic detective tales.

Based on the play "The Maids" by Jean Genet, it carries a certain "theatricality" in it's visual style and overall atmosphere.

The plot revolves around the mysterious death of the main character — an old rock star who returns as a ghost to his home on the day of his own funeral to find out who is responsible for his death. Meanwhile, the three women — the Wife, the Maid, and the Cook — return from the funeral and discuss the impending arrival of investigators. From their dialogue, it becomes clear that each of them has something to hide. In the end, as suspicions grow what seemed to be a suspenseful talk turns into a bloody fight to death.
